On Saturday, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase I of the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station, now known as Ayodhya Dham junction railway station. The event was marked by the flagging off of new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, along with the dedication of several key railway projects to the nation. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath warmly welcomed the Prime Minister to Ayodhya.

Modi's visit precedes the much-anticipated consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22. Additionally, he has inaugurated the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham at 12:15 pm.

During a public program around 1 pm, Modi is slated to inaugurate and dedicate several development projects worth over ₹15,000 crore in the state. These projects encompass developments in Ayodhya and its surrounding areas, totaling around ₹11,100 crore, as well as other initiatives across Uttar Pradesh amounting to approximately ₹4,600 crore.

Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station, developed at a cost of over ₹240 crore, boasts a three-storey modern building with lifts, escalators, food plazas, and other amenities, earning it 'accessible for all' and 'IGBC-certified green station building' status.
